When to Replace

  • Immediately replace when an existing pin breaks or shears to prevent gearbox damage.
  • Replace pins that are bent, corroded, or show signs of excessive wear.
  • It is recommended to keep spares on hand for quick replacement during use.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the spark plug wire before starting installation to ensure safety.
  • Align the holes on the auger and the gear shaft.
  • Insert the shear pin through both holes.
  • Secure the pin by threading on the lock nut. Do not over-tighten.
  • Only use correct shear pins; never substitute with a standard bolt.
