Key Features

  • Kit Contents: 15 red polycarbonate housings, 15 black polycarbonate housings, and 30 silver-plated copper contacts.
  • Electrical Rating: Up to 600V and 30A continuous current.
  • Contact Material: Silver-plated copper for high conductivity and low resistance.
  • Temperature Range: Designed to operate from -68℉ to 221℉.
  • Housing Design: Genderless, interlocking housings allow for customizable multi-pole assemblies.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Interchangeable with similarly sized 15A, 30A, and 45A power pole style connector components.
  • Serves as a direct replacement for 30-amp, two-pole DC power connectors.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Wire Gauge: Accepts 12 AWG, 14 AWG, and 16 AWG wire.
  • Applications: Ideal for amateur radio equipment, battery chargers, solar power systems, automotive and marine electronics, and other high-current DC circuits.

When to Replace

  • Visible damage to the housing, such as cracks, melting, or breakage.
  • Corrosion, pitting, or burn marks on the metal contacts.
  • Connection becomes loose, intermittent, or generates excessive heat under load.

Installation Tips

  • Strip wire insulation to the proper length before inserting into the contact barrel.
  • For a secure electrical and mechanical bond, use a dedicated crimping tool. Soldering is also a suitable method.
  • Push the wired contact into the housing from the rear until it audibly clicks into place.
  • Maintain consistent polarity by joining housings with the dovetail system (e.g., red for positive, black for negative).
