When to Replace

  • Visible fuel leakage from the valve body or around the tank bushing.
  • Valve is stuck and will not turn to the open or closed position.
  • Bushing has become cracked, brittle, or swollen from fuel exposure.
  • Inconsistent fuel delivery causing the engine to stall or run rough.

Installation Tips

  • Drain all fuel from the tank before beginning work.
  • Clean the area around the fuel tank hole to prevent debris from entering the tank.
  • Apply a small amount of oil to the new bushing to ease insertion into the tank.
  • Ensure the valve is fully seated in the bushing to create a proper seal.
  • After installation and refilling the tank, check for leaks before starting the engine.
