Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for 2-inch Hayward Vari-Flo multiport valves.
  • Fits Hayward valve models SP0715 and SP0716.
  • Compatible with select filter systems, including model S220T2.
  • Fits valve model HCV20715.

When to Replace

  • Water is visibly leaking from the backwash or waste port when the valve is in the "Filter" position.
  • The existing gasket is cracked, warped, compressed, or visibly worn.
  • Difficulty turning the valve handle due to a degraded seal.
  • Loss of suction or pressure in the filtration system traced back to the multiport valve.

Installation Tips

  • Turn off the pool pump and release all pressure from the system before disassembly.
  • Remove the valve handle and lid to access the old gasket.
  • Carefully pry out the old gasket. Note the orientation of the spokes.
  • Thoroughly clean the channel where the gasket sits, removing all old adhesive and debris.
  • Apply a suitable, waterproof adhesive to the channel to secure the new gasket.
  • Press the new gasket firmly into the channel, ensuring it is seated flat and level.
  • Reassemble the valve and allow the adhesive to fully cure before pressurizing the system.
