When to Replace
- Replace the probe when temperature readings become inaccurate, intermittent, or noticeably slower than expected.
- Replacement may also be needed when the probe tip, cable, plug, or braided covering shows physical damage, corrosion, or heat deterioration.
- A damaged cable can cause unstable readings or prevent the grill from detecting the probe.
Installation Tips
- Connect the 3.5mm plug to the compatible grill temperature-probe socket.
- Use the included probe clip to hold the probe securely in position during cooking.
- Calibrate the probe before use in a glass of ice water; it should read 32°F (0°C).
- Do not repeatedly twist the probe cable, as this can cause breakage.
- Keep the wire and plug dry, and clean the stainless steel probe tip with a damp cloth after each use.
