RP46074 Shower Valve Cartridge

Key Features

  • Controls water temperature while maintaining full water flow
  • Monitors and balances water pressure to maintain temperature within a +/- 3.6°F (+/- 2.0°C) range

Compatibility & Fitment

  • For Delta single-handle tub and shower faucets
  • Fits Delta 13 and 14 series trims
  • Designed for use with universal valve bodies manufactured after 2006

When to Replace

  • Leaking or dripping from spout or shower head when turned off
  • Difficulty rotating the faucet handle
  • Inability to maintain a consistent water temperature
  • Sudden or extreme fluctuations in hot or cold water
  • Noticeable reduction in water pressure

Installation Tips

  • Shut off the main water supply to the shower before beginning installation
  • Note the orientation of the existing cartridge prior to removal
  • Ensure the new cartridge is installed with the "Hot Side" marking positioned to the left
  • Clean any sediment or debris from inside the valve body before inserting the new cartridge
  • Lightly lubricate O-rings with a silicone-based grease to prevent damage during installation
