When to Replace

  • The existing bulb is cracked, hazy, or brittle.
  • The bulb does not return to its original shape after being pressed.
  • Fuel is leaking from or around the primer bulb assembly.
  • The engine becomes difficult to start and requires excessive priming.

Installation Tips

  • Ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the spark plug wire before starting work.
  • Note the orientation of the fuel lines before disconnecting them from the old bulb.
  • Squeeze the two mounting tabs on the old bulb to release it from the housing.
  • Insert the new bulb until the two mounting tabs click securely into place.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines to the correct ports on the new bulb.
