28-1783-V Generator Fuel Tank Shut Off Valve Switch Petcock

  • Includes integrated fuel strainer

  • Fits many generators from 2kW to 4kW with M10x1.25 port threads.
  • Honda Models: EU1000i, EU2000i, EU3000i, GX160 (5.5hp), GX200 (6.5hp)
  • Yamaha Models: EF2000iSv2, EF2400iSHC, EF6300iSDE
  • Also fits various Champion models and other engines such as the 168F.
  • Suitable for some 50cc to 125cc ATVs and dirt bikes.

When to Replace

  • Fuel is leaking from the valve body, handle, or connections.
  • The ON/OFF handle is difficult to turn or is broken.
  • Fuel flow is restricted or completely blocked, starving the engine.
  • Visible cracks, corrosion, or physical damage to the valve.

Installation Tips

  • Drain all fuel from the tank before beginning the installation.
  • Apply a fuel-resistant thread sealant to the M10 threads to ensure a proper seal.
  • Securely attach the fuel line to the 1/4 inch barb using a hose clamp.
  • After installation, add a small amount of fuel to the tank and check for leaks before filling completely.
