Description

Pool Cleaner Backup Valve Kit G62 with 2 Hose Nuts D16

Key Features

  • Includes one complete backup valve assembly and two D16 hose nuts.
  • Periodically reverses the cleaner's direction to navigate out of corners and away from obstacles.
  • Ensures comprehensive cleaning coverage for the entire pool surface.
  • Constructed from durable, crack-resistant polymer materials for long service life.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Backup Valve Kit: G62
  • Hose Nut: D16
  • Valve Case (internal): G54

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits Zodiac Polaris models: 180, 280, 380, 480 Pro, 3900 Sport, TR28P, and TR35P.
  • Compatible with specific model variations such as the 280 Black Max.

When to Replace

  • The pool cleaner gets stuck on steps, drains, or corners frequently.
  • The valve no longer activates and sprays water approximately every three minutes.
  • Visible cracks, leaks, or excessive wear are present on the valve housing.
  • The cleaner's travel pattern becomes restricted or it stops reversing entirely.

Installation Tips

  • Turn off the pool booster pump before beginning installation.
  • Unthread the hose nuts to remove the old valve from the feed hose.
  • Install the new valve in-line with the feed hose, observing the water flow direction arrow.
  • Securely hand-tighten the D16 hose nuts onto the hose to create a water-tight seal.
