When to Replace

  • Furnace ignition sequence starts but shuts down after a few seconds.
  • Burners fail to remain lit.
  • Existing sensor rod shows signs of corrosion or heavy carbon buildup.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power and shut off the gas supply to the furnace before beginning service.
  • Handle the new sensor by its ceramic insulator; avoid touching the metal rod with bare hands to prevent contamination.
  • Ensure the sensor is securely mounted and the rod is properly positioned in the path of the pilot or main burner flame.
