When to Replace

Installation Tips

  • Ensure the propane tank valve and appliance controls are turned off before installation.
  • Hand-tighten the POL fitting onto the propane tank valve.
  • Use a wrench to secure the 3/8-inch flare fitting to the appliance inlet.
  • After connecting, slowly open the tank valve and check all connections for leaks with a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak that must be corrected.
  • Position the hose to avoid kinks, sharp bends, and contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not use thread sealant or tape on flare fittings.
