When to Replace

Installation Tips

  • Ensure both the engine head and valve cover mating surfaces are completely clean and dry.
  • Remove all traces of old gasket material, oil, and debris before installing the new gasket.
  • Install the gasket dry; do not use sealant unless explicitly required by the engine service manual.
  • Tighten valve cover bolts in the sequence and to the torque specifications listed in the manufacturer's service manual to prevent warping and ensure an even seal.
