When to Replace

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the spark plug wire before starting work for safety.
  • Remove the bolts securing the old recoil starter housing to the engine shroud.
  • Ensure the new starter assembly is correctly aligned with the flywheel drive cup.
  • Fasten the new assembly with the original mounting hardware.
  • Tighten bolts securely and evenly to prevent damage to the housing.
  • Test the recoil action before reconnecting the spark plug wire.
