99944200903 Speed-Feed 450 Trimmer Head

Key Features

  • High-capacity, bump-feed design for line advancement.
  • Allows for rapid reloading of trimmer line without disassembling the head.
  • Holds up to 20 feet of 0.095-inch diameter line.
  • Internal design with a split spool minimizes line tangling and welding.
  • Includes a 10mm x 1.25mm Left-Hand (LH) thread adapter for mounting.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • ECHO OEM Part Number: 99944200903

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits most ECHO straight shaft string trimmer and brushcutter models.
  • Compatible with models such as the SRM-266.
  • Requires a 10mm x 1.25mm Left-Hand (LH) threaded arbor for installation.

When to Replace

  • Existing head is cracked, broken, or excessively worn.
  • The bump-feed mechanism no longer advances the line correctly.
  • Line becomes frequently tangled or jammed inside the spool.
  • The bottom cap or eyelets are worn through, causing line to break.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug before servicing.
  • Insert a locking tool into the designated hole to prevent the head from rotating.
  • Unscrew the old head by turning it clockwise (reverse or left-hand thread).
  • Thread the new head on by turning it counter-clockwise until it is hand-tight.
