When to Replace
- Replace a dirty or restricted air filter when the blower has weak power, bogs down, or runs poorly under load.
- Replace the pre-filter when it is clogged, damaged, or no longer protects the main filter from debris.
- Replace fuel lines, the fuel filter, or the primer bulb when the blower is hard to start, has rough operation, or shows signs of aged or cracked fuel-system components.
- A worn spark plug can contribute to hard starting, misfiring, and unstable engine operation.
Installation Tips
- Confirm the blower model and cross-reference number before installation.
- Work with the engine cool and disconnect the spark plug lead before servicing.
- Clean debris from around the air-filter housing before opening it so contamination does not enter the intake.
- Route the replacement fuel line as the original line was installed, keeping it clear of sharp edges, hot surfaces, and moving parts.
- Install the supplied CMR6H spark plug using the equipment manufacturer's specified gap and tightening procedure.
- Prime the fuel system and check all connections for leaks before operating the blower.
