When to Replace

Installation Tips

  • Before starting, disconnect the spark plug wire and ensure the fuel tank is empty.
  • Carefully note the position of the intake and return fuel lines on the old bulb base.
  • Use a small flat-head screwdriver or pick to gently pry off the retaining plate or ring.
  • Remove the old bulb and clean the seating surface on the carburetor.
  • Press the new bulb into place, ensuring a proper seal, and re-secure it with the retaining plate.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines to their correct ports and test for leaks before reconnecting the spark plug.
