When to Replace

  • Existing grommet is cracked, brittle, or deformed.
  • Fuel is leaking or seeping from the base of the fuel line where it enters the tank.
  • The grommet is loose and no longer provides a snug fit for the fuel line.
  • Performing fuel system maintenance or replacing fuel lines.

Installation Tips

  • Drain all fuel from the tank before beginning work.
  • Thoroughly clean the tank surface around the hole to remove any dirt or residue.
  • Apply a light lubricant, such as oil or grease, to the grommet to facilitate installation.
  • Press the new grommet evenly into the hole until it is fully and securely seated.
  • After installation and reassembly, check for leaks before operating the equipment.
