Pin Dimensions: 1-9/16" Length x 1/4" Diameter Thread Size: 1/4-20 Engineered to shear under a specific load to protect the auger and gearbox from damage. Direct aftermarket replacement for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers Ariens: 53200500, 532005, 05907100 Gravely: 53200500, 532005 Compatibility & Fitment Fits select Ariens and Gravely snow blowers and Sno-Thro units. Compatible with Ariens small-frame models including: ST520, ST524, ST624, ST724. Verify part number in your owner's manual for correct fitment. When to Replace Replace immediately if the auger does not turn while the engine is running. Inspect and replace if pins are bent, excessively worn, or corroded. Recommended to have spares on hand for quick field repairs during heavy snowfall. Installation Tips Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing maintenance. Align the hole in the auger shaft with the hole in the auger assembly. Insert the shear pin through the aligned holes. Secure the pin with the provided lock nut; do not overtighten. Never substitute with a standard bolt, as this may cause catastrophic gearbox failure.
