When to Replace

  • The existing cap is cracked, broken, or will not stay attached.
  • Significant wear from ground contact has created holes or weak points.
  • Line feeding becomes inconsistent due to damaged cap eyelets.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance.
  • Clean any grass or debris from the trimmer head housing.
  • Align the tabs on the new cap with the corresponding slots on the trimmer head.
  • Press down firmly until the cap audibly snaps into place.
  • Verify the cap is secure and does not move before operating the trimmer.
