10-Speed High-Performance Bicycle Chain

Key Features

• Enhanced Shifting Precision:Engineered with bridge-shaped outer plates and chamfered inner plates to provide smooth, rapid gear transitions across 10-speed cassettes.
• Corrosion-Resistant Coating:Features an anti-rust surface treatment to maintain flexibility and structural integrity in wet or humid riding conditions.
• High-Tensile Strength:Manufactured with reinforced pins and high-grade alloy steel to withstand the mechanical stress of aggressive mountain or road cycling.
• Optimized Durability:Heat-treated components reduce the rate of elongation ("stretching"), preserving the life of your chainrings and cogs.
• Simple Assembly:Includes a 10-speed quick-connector link for a secure, tool-free closure and easy removal for deep cleaning.

When to Replace

• Measured Wear:Replace the chain when a chain checker tool indicates 0.75% elongation to prevent excessive wear on more expensive cassette teeth.
• Gear Skipping:The chain slips over the teeth of the cassette under load, often a sign of a worn or stretched chain.
• Stiff Links:Individual links that are seized or resistant to bending, causing the chain to "jump" as it passes through the derailleur pulleys.
• Corrosion:Significant surface rust or pitting that compromises the smooth movement of the internal rollers.
• Noisy Operation:Persistent metallic grinding or chirping sounds that remain after cleaning and applying fresh lubricant.

Installation Tips

• Chain Sizing:Use a chain breaker tool to match the length of your original chain. If starting fresh, wrap the chain around the largest chainring and largest cog (bypassing the derailleur) and add two links.
• Quick Link Direction:If the quick link has a curved shape or directional arrow, ensure it follows the direction of the chain's rotation.
• Locking the Link:Once the quick link is positioned, apply a firm downward stroke on the pedal while the rear wheel is stationary to "click" the plates into the locked position.
• Lubrication:Wipe off the heavy factory grease from the exterior and apply a quality 10-speed specific lubricant to the rollers before your first ride.
• Alignment:Ensure the chain is properly threaded through the derailleur cages and over the jockey wheels before engaging the final link.
