Description

1" Chrome Motorcycle Hand Grips

Key Features

  • Material: CNC machined billet aluminum with a polished chrome finish.
  • Design: Perforated hole pattern with anti-skid rubber inlays for enhanced traction and comfort.
  • Construction: Integrated throttle sleeve for simplified installation on cable-actuated systems.
  • Ergonomics: Vibration-dampening design reduces hand fatigue during long rides.
  • Dimensions: Fits standard 1-inch (25.4mm) diameter motorcycle handlebars.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Replaces stock OEM grips on compatible models.
  • Serves as an alternative for aftermarket grips such as Kuryakyn 6240 and 6342.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits most Harley-Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki models equipped with 1-inch handlebars and a dual cable throttle system.
  • Not compatible with electronic throttle-by-wire models.
  • Not suitable for models with handlebar air reservoirs or heated grips.
  • Confirm handlebar diameter and throttle type before ordering.

When to Replace

  • Existing grips are worn, cracked, sticky, or splitting.
  • Reduced traction, especially in wet weather.
  • Throttle response feels sluggish due to a worn or damaged throttle sleeve.
  • Visible damage from impacts or abrasion.

Installation Tips

  • Ensure handlebars are clean and free of old adhesive residue.
  • Use a minimal amount of grip adhesive on the left (clutch) side only.
  • Do not apply any adhesive to the right (throttle) side to ensure free throttle rotation.
  • Before riding, verify the throttle snaps back to the closed position without sticking.
  • Check for adequate clearance between the grip ends and switch housings or bar-end weights.
