When to Replace

• Housing is cracked, broken, or excessively worn from ground contact.
• Line fails to advance properly when the head is tapped.
• Trimmer line frequently melts, jams, or tangles inside the spool.
• Line exit eyelets are worn through, causing premature line breakage.
• Excessive vibration is felt during operation.

Installation Tips

• Disconnect the spark plug wire before starting work.
• Lock the trimmer's gear head from rotating, typically by inserting a small screwdriver or pin into the designated locking hole.
• Unscrew the old trimmer head by turning it clockwise (it has a left-hand thread).
• Thread the new head on by turning it counter-clockwise until it is hand-tight.
• Do not use tools to overtighten the new head onto the shaft.
