When to Replace

  • Dryer door will not stay closed or latch properly.
  • Dryer does not start because the door switch is not engaged.
  • The existing door catch is visibly broken, cracked, or worn out.
  • A "clicking" sound is not heard when closing the door.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the dryer from its power source before beginning any repairs.
  • A flat-blade screwdriver or putty knife may be needed to pry the old catch out of the door frame.
  • Note the orientation of the original part before removing it.
  • Press the new catch firmly into the slot until it snaps securely into place.
