When to Replace
Replace the relevant thermostat, fuse, or thermal cut-off when the dryer has no heat, produces too little or too much heat, takes too long to dry, shuts off too soon, will not start, or the timer fails to advance. A blocked vent, restricted airflow, failed heating element, or other wiring fault can produce similar symptoms, so inspect airflow and test the circuit before replacing parts.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the dryer from electrical power before opening the cabinet or handling temperature-control wiring.
- Allow the dryer to cool completely, then photograph the original wiring and transfer each wire to the matching replacement terminal.
