When to Replace

• The burner fires but drops out after approximately 10 to 30 seconds.
• The system repeatedly enters safety lockout or requires manual resets.
• The cad cell lens appears tan, smoky, or brown.
• Resistance readings do not reach 0 ohms under light or infinite resistance in full darkness during a bench check.

Installation Tips

1. Turn off power at the burner service switch and circuit breaker before handling wiring.
2. Pull the old cad cell eye from the holder slot.
3. Release the old lead wires from the primary control terminals.
4. Seat the replacement cad cell in the holder. Bend the bracket slightly only if a tighter fit is needed.
5. Connect the new leads to the primary control terminals.
6. Before firing the burner, use a multimeter to confirm a 0-ohm reading under light.
